CHEPSTOW WASSAIL AND MARI LWYD!!! SEE TAG ON LEFT FOR EXCITING NEWS! 'POOR OWD OSS' The 'Owd 'Oss is a traditional Christmas folk-play that was, at one time, commonly performed in the towns and villages along the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border. As the name suggests, the play centres around an "old horse", whose failing health is the cause of much consternation for his master. In years gone by, a collection was made at the end of the play to support the poor people of the parish. A group of friends and I successfully revived the tradition in 2005, and have managed to use it to raise hundreds of pounds for charity. DONT MISS THIS! WITH OUR FRIENDS FROM BLACK PIG BORDER MORRIS
