Chepstow is a picturesque Monmouthshire market town, steeped in history and tradition, and found nestling in the valley of the River Wye. Set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, Chepstow benefits from its close proximity to the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean . The town is ideal for family days out, and is easily accessible via rail, road and the motorway network , with regular trains and national coach services from London, Swansea and Bristol.

The market town of Chepstow dates back to 1067 with the building of Chepstow Castle, and has been the home of many notable characters including Nelson, Brunel, and Cromwell. Chepstow derives its name from the Olde English words 'Chepe' and 'Stowe' meaning Market Place. The Welsh name Cas Gwent means 'Port of Gwent' reflecting the town's rich maritime history.

Chepstow has now become a centre for tourism and offers a wide variety of Places to Stay and things to do, or just relax and enjoy the traditional pubs, Cafés, Restaurants, shops and local amenities. The town centre's recent award winning development is based on the traditional town centre of two centuries ago.
